If you're looking to have the quickest and easiest pasta meal, you can try this one. I was influenced by my aunt with this kind of food...with simple recipe and basic cooking procedure. No sweat...more fun!

How to...

1. Boil the pasta. This is what I used, but you're free to choose any pasta.

- Boil the water in a large pot. Don't forget to salt the water at least 1 tbsp of salt for every liter of water. This is to add flavor to our pasta. We have a common tradition that we usually do and that is we are adding oil on the water. I just found out that its a big NO-NO and I find it reasonable...adding oil to your boiling water makes your pasta more oily and it prevents the sauce to stick on it. That sometimes we found it less tastier.

- Add your pasta to the boiling water and stir it well. Stirring your pasta avoids from sticking together. You can check the instruction on the packaging on how long to cook it.

- Don't forget to taste your pasta. I know you're familiar with the word Al Dente ( firm to the bite), if you want it that way you can remove the pot from the fire. If you prefer it more soft, you can let it stay for about 2 more minutes or else you'll use it for your next menu which is soup.☺

- And your last step for cooking your pasta, draining time. Drain it but don't wash it. You'll lose its flavor if you do.

2. Open your gourmet tuyo (dried fish).

Make it sure that it was kept in room temp. (to prevent the oil from solidifying) before opening and refrigerate it afterwards. Try to smash it into bits.

3. Put your pasta in a bowl and place your gaurmet tuyo. The amount of gourmet tuyo will depend on your taste.

4. Season with chili garlic oil. Gauge the amount of oil depending on how much you want your pasta to be spicy. (This is my flatmates menu, we'll ask her next time how she did it.)

5. You can now have your meal. You can modify the recipe...add some olives and Parmesan cheese to make it more enjoyable.

It took me less than 15 minutes to prepare the food.
